Nitrogen is used in the prevention of fire and dangerous explosions. In the oil and gas industry, it is used to purge and test the pipes. This gas is also applied in the chemical and petrochemical industry to create an inert environment in tanks, in the varnishing and painting industry to prevent oil polymerization, as well as in plasma apparatus, labs, the medical industry and agriculture.
