Sumgait Technologies Park will export cable to Tajikistan

A contract on the large-scale sale cables has been executed between “Sumgait Technologies Park” LLC and “Tacikgidroelektromontazh” JSC of Tajikistan. Under the terms of the initial agreement, the largest and the most hi-tech Cable Plant in the region, which is part of the technopark, will export low, medium and high voltage power cables to be used by the customer in the "Construction and Upgrading of Ravshan Substation" project in the Republic of Tajikistan by June of the current year.

Negotiations between the entity and the counter party have been launched last year in order to participate in the "Construction and Upgrading of Ravshan Substation" project, funded by the Islamic Development Bank. STP beat the competing Russian and Turkish companies thanks to the quality of its products and their reasonable prices, and signed a two-year partnership contract with the customer. The substation to be reconstructed will be fully supplied with the products of Cable Plant of STP. In March, the first batch of orders will be delivered to the counter party.

It should be noted that Cable Plant of STP produces and offers to customers 28,000 types of medium, high and extremely high-voltage power cables of up to 500 kV, stationary and non-stationary, control, XLPE, coaxial, ship cables, armored cables used in oil wells, cables for various types of optical telephones, LAN, high temperature resistant, tin covered grounding cables with cores. The products manufactured by the plant on a high technology basis are competitive and widely used both locally and abroad.
